The Browning Legacy
Mention the name John Moses Browning in the small arms community and see what comes about. Take the 1911 pistol, the M1935 pistol(hi-power),the BAR, the M2 50 cal, the M1919 7.62 machine guns, and many many more. Browning started in a small shop with his brothers developing guns. His first design to be adopted by the military was the 1911. He then designed his machine guns(the M2 50 Cal, the M1919 which was a scaled down version, then the BAR which FN took this design and turned it in to the FN MAG 58 with a strong German influence[MG 42 Feed system]). HE was undisputedly the best designer of Military small arms. That is why still today the M2 50 cal is still standard on the newest M1A2 tank, and the current US army M240 is based on the BAR from the 1920s with some German influence(the MG42 feed system) hence the FN MAG 58.Pic # 1 is a Bulgarian manufactured highpower as imported by century arms. Pic # 2 is a privately owned WW11 era BAR(expensive VERY expensive LOL)
